Armies are to be no more than 1250 points.
Special Characters are allowed regardless of their point limitations.
I'm doing something different this time and stealing an idea from Warmachine's tournament format. Each player is allowed to bring TWO DIFFERENT Army Lists from the Same Codex. Before each game, you are allowed to look at your opponent's lists. Then each player picks the list of their own they want to use, and sets it face down on the table. After each person has chosen you reveal the army you are going to play with.
Bring Two copies of Each Army List, fully readable with no shorthand, including all points costs for all units and all wargear.
Be careful when you set your army up and bring stuff in from Reserves that you are only using the correct units from the Army List you chose to use. Using more points than you are supposed to Will be considered cheating, and I'll have to treat it as such.
Mission 1 - Annihilation
Deployment;
Pitched Battle
Objectives;
Victory Points, found on page 300 of the 40k rulebook.
Win Conditions;
Major Victory - 700+ more VPs than your opponent
Minor Victory - 350-749 more VPs than your opponent
Draw - 0-349 more VPs than your opponent
Mission Bonuses;
+1 point for each of your Scoring Units inside your Opponent's Deployment Zone at the end of the game. Max of 4 points.
Mission 2 - Seek and Destroy
Deployment;
Dawn of War, with the exception that everything starts out on the table as normal unless you choose to keep it in Reserves.
Objectives;
Kill Points, with the following modifications.
HQ, Elites, Fast Attack and Heavy Support are worth a number of KPs equal to the number of slots of their catagory you fill on the Force Org chart. Example, if you have 1 HQ, 2 Elites, and 3 Heavy Support, then your HQ is worth 1 KP, Elites are worth 2 KPs Each, and Heavy Support are worth 3 KPs Each.
Troops are worth a number of KPs equal to half (rounded down) of the number of Troops slots filled on the Forge Org chart. Example, if you have 5 units of Troops, they are worth 2 KPs Each.
Units/Transports that do not occupy a slot will not add to the worth of units, but will be worth what the unit they are purchased for. Example, if you have 2 units from Elites, each of which have a Dedicated Transport, then each unit and each transport are worth 2 KPs. If you have 1 Space Marine Captain, and 1 Space Marine Command Squad, each will be worth 1 KP.
Win Conditions;
Major Victory - 6 more KPs than your Opponent.
Minor Victory - 2 more KPs than your Opponent.
Draw - 0 or 1 more KPs than your opponent
Mission Bonuses;
+1 pt for each of your Scoring Units within (not completely within) the center of the board at the end of the game. Max of 4 points.
Mission 3 - Land Grab
Deployment;
Spearhead
Objectives;
One Objective is placed in the center of the board. Players take turns placing four more Objectives (total of five) at least 12" from another Objective and 6" from any board edge.
Win Conditions;
Major Victory - 4 more Objectives than your opponent.
Minor Victory - 2 more Objectives than your opponent.
Draw - 0 or 1 more Objective than your opponent.
Mission Bonuses;
+1 pt for destroying all your opponent's HQ.
+1 pt for destroying all your opponent's Elites.
+1 pt for destroying all your opponent's Fast Attack.
+1 pt for destroying all your opponent's Heavy Support. _________________ SARCASM: Just one of my many talents.
